Apple Going to Court Over Rendezvous
Apple Computer Inc. is being sued by Tibco Software Inc. for use of the “Rendezvous” name. Tibco claims that they have been using the name for their messaging product line for sometime before Apple started using it for their wireless networking technology, introduced in 2002, that allows networked devices to automatically detect and connect to each other, easing interoperability and data transfer. Samsung 120GB DirecTV/TiVo PVR
Samsung announced today that they are going to be releasing the first personal video recorder (PVR) with a 120GB hard drive. The 120GB monster will let you record up to 100 hours of TV programming and stream your stored content anywhere on you home network using TiVo’s networking technology. The PVR is meant to work in tandem with DirecTV programming.
